About me
I have always loved taking pictures. I started in elementary school when I would take my parents Kodak Instamatic X-15 on field trips. In Junior High I took my first photography class. In High School I was the primary yearbook and newspaper photographer, developing and printing my own images in the school darkroom. After high school I started working in Kiddie Kandids, a professional photography studio specializing in childrens photography. I eventually managed two studios in Southern California. I then transferred to the Volume Photography department where I took grade school pictures at the beginning of the school year and included school dances, senior photos and school sports. Since everything was shot with film, this gave another unique experience in taking thousands of portraits a year and learning to know the timing to catch a natural expression at the right moment.
After shooting with multiple types and brands of cameras, I found my favorite and purchased a professional camera, a medium format Hasselblad 500C/M. With larger format I was able to capture more details and get higher quality images over 35mm cameras. I was also able to take into practice making every shot count with only 12 shots per roll of film.
I continue shooting with the latest Hasselblad digital system, arguably creating the highest quality images on the market today.
